Welcome to the newest sensation in the Kingston area: orienteering! This exciting adventure sport will take you to places you've never been and show you places you know well - in a brand new light.

What is orienteering?

Orienteering combines navigation through unfamiliar terrain solely relying on a map and compass - no GPS allowed! Whether you seek the tranquility of a leisurely outing or the adrenaline of competitive sport, orienteering offers an experience for all ages.

Fall 2025 Training

This fall, we’re excited to offer four evenings of orienteering training in Kingston—perfect for newcomers and those who have joined us in the past two years.

  • Variety of maps: Each session will be held on a different map, so you’ll get fresh challenges every night.
  • Beginner-friendly: Every evening includes a dedicated beginner group, ideal if you’re trying orienteering for the first time.
  • Skill progression: Join all four nights to build your confidence and sharpen your navigation skills.

To wrap up the season, we’re also planning a special event with SI timing in late October a great chance to put your new skills to the test!


Training Dates:

  • Monday, Sept 15 – 6:00 PM
  • Wednesday, Sept 24 – 6:00 PM
  • Monday, Sept 29 – 6:00 PM
  • Wednesday, Oct 8 – 6:00 PM

Special Event:

  • Saturday, Oct 18 – Morning (with SI timing)


Cost:

Per session
Under 10: free
Juniors (10-17): $5
Adults (18+): $10
Family: $20

Fall bundle rate (all 5 sessions)
Under 10: free
Juniors (10-17): $15
Adults (18+): $30
Family: $60

*first session free if you haven’t been to any of our events in the last 2 years.

Youth under age 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
